Disk Graph is a tool that allows you to inspect your disk and easily find the files that take away most of your disk space. With its responsive interface, locating big files has never been easier.
You can select any directory reachable in the Finder: it may be on your local machine, on an external drive or even on a remote server. After analyzing it, Disk Graph will open a pie graph where each circle represents one level of the directory hierarchy.
By moving the mouse over one of the colored sections, the name of the file and its size will appear. The file size is proportional to the section size. You can freely navigate inside the graph: when clicking on a file, it will float to the center with a smooth animation so that you have a better view of its contents.
When typing a filename into the search field, a list of matches will appear. If you move the mouse over any of the search results, the corresponding file will light up in the graph so that you know where it is. With a click you can open that file, bringing it to the center.
From within the context menu you can open a file in the Finder or move it to the trash. This way you can free space on your Mac directly from within the app.
In the main window you can save your favorite directories and devices. When you launch the app, you can access them with one click.
Disk Graph has been designed in order to be fun and easy to use. If you have any problem to report or a suggestion for a new feature, I’m always happy to help!
What users say about Disk Graph:
Great app in indentifying big unused chunks of diskspace (files and directories). Best seen so far to clean up ur disk.
These people understand how to design a User Interface. Very clean looking and extremely simple to operate. Well done.
I have tried a handful of utilities out there for Macs that show disk usage over the years, but Disk Graph is now above and beyond my new favorite. […] Disk Graph does a superb job of presenting an intuitive visual interface of your disk usage, as well as allowing you to control/right click any item and move it directly to the trash or open it in Finder, enabling you to easily get rid of old files that take up unnecessary space. Additionally it scans the chosen files very rapidly (especially compared to some of the other freeware programs out there that do this same sort of thing), which makes it very easy to use. You can save volumes and folders as “favorites” as well if you have any that you find yourself frequently checking out. Overall, for just a few dollars this app is superb! It performs admirably, and does exactly what it says it does, and does it well!
